The Low Temperature Heating & Hot Water Systems in Dwellings course is designed for existing plumbing and heating engineers who need to understand how to install low temperature heating and hot systems in domestic properties, including heat pumps and modern gas boilers, in accordance with Part L of the Building Regulations.
This 2-day training course is ideal for heating installers who want to maximise the efficiency of heating systems to meet current and future requirements.

– Latest industry standards and regulatory framework relating to heating design.
– Requirements for undertaking a room-by-room heat loss for a property.
– Correctly sizing heat emitters for low temperature heating systems.
– How to correctly size pumps and pipework. Correctly sizing a domestic hot water system.
– Basic design principles of system configuration

What are the pre-requisities?
To enrol on this air source heat pump installation course, you need to hold the following qualifications:
– Level 2/3 SVQ or NVQ in plumbing, heating/ventilation gas or oil.
You will need to bring copies of the following books,
– CIBSE Domestic Heating Design Guide.
– CIPHE Insight Guide – Low Temperature Heating & Hot Water.
Training, assessment, certification and all other course materials are included.
– Level 2/3 SVQ or NVQ in plumbing, heating/ventilation gas or oil.

Course duration
The course consists of 2 days in-centre training.
