Welcome to South West Construction Academy Ltd,
We are a leading training provider for Plumbing, Gas and Electrical apprenticeships. We have excellent purpose built workshops and End Point Assessment centre. We are proud to be selected by On Site Bristol (Bristol City Council) as their training provider for gas and electrical apprentices. We currently train over 100 apprentices and work with many employers in and around Bristol.

Smart Home Technician Apprenticeship.
Our tutor Paul Smithies is currently working on a new qualification which will be approved byEAL to meet the requirements of the new Smart Home Technician Apprenticeship. Deliveryis planned to start from October 2024. This apprenticeship is funded by the Government,100% for learners aged 16-18 and 95% funded for learners aged 19+ with no upper agelimit. An independent provider of trades courses in Bristol has marked 10 years in business with a keyappointment, to satisfy demand for a new range of domestic electrical courses. I had a great experience at the SWCA. The teaching was hands-on, and the instructors provided excellent support. They really prepared me well for real-world plumbing/ gas situations. I would highly recommend this college to anyone looking to start a career in plumbing!

I also had the privilege of working with another Andy who also had a wealth of knowledge which was great. John the assessor cannot thank enough. All in all if you are doing ACS this is the place to go

All the teachers and tutors here are very helpful a lot more so then other colleges I’ve attended. They actually help and want their students to do well unlike some other colleges . Also my tutors, John and Andy were very helpful with getting my portfolio and jobs complete , without the help from them I doubt I would have been able to do so well.

I am currently on the level 2 diploma course in plumbing.
The Academy works well for me having a family and a full time job collage was not an option. The staff are friendly and know their stuff. Practical sessions are great and the theory revision sessions are very informative they don’t just teach you to pass exams they explain in detail and give past knowledge and experience that will help you on the job in the future.
