This will depend on your initial assessment. The Gas Engineering Operative standard is 18 months (78 weeks), but this will be reduced in line with any prior knowledge you have.

No, all tools, materials, and any other equipment will be supplied during your apprenticeship, although you will need to wear suitable clothes and safety boots in the workshop.

No, the Level 3 Diploma in Gas Engineering is suitable for both new entrants to the gas industry, or plumbers looking to upskill.

Our classes run with a maximum of 12-14 candidates. This enables our trainers to dedicate more one to one time with each candidate’s individual needs.

The funding for an apprenticeship is provided by ESFA, 95% for learners aged 19+ and 100% for learners 18 and under. The remaining 5% for learners 19+ is funded by employer’s as a co-investment. Funding covers all training and assessment fees, registration, examination and certification costs, all materials and hand-outs needed to complete your course are also included. There are no hidden or additional costs to pay.

Don’t worry, if you fail an examination, we can arrange a re-sit for you. We will only enter you for an examination when we feel you are competent and ready for it.

Once your employer has selected us as your training providedr, you are required to complete an apprentices enrolment form which you can email or post back to us.
