Another successful open day was held at South West Construction Academy in May, meeting some great candidates looking for employment.

What We Do

We work with employers in and around the Bristol area training apprentices in plumbing, gas, electrical and low carbon heating. If you are employer looking for an apprentice we can help you find a suitable candidate.

If you are looking for an apprenticeship and employment contact us and we can prepare you for finding an employer and help you with your CV. We can also send this out to employers we work with to

Eligibility: Apprenticeships courses are employer driven so to do an apprenticeship you must have an employer. We can support your search for an employer but we cannot guarantee employment. You must have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years and be entitled to work in the UK.

I had a great experience at the SWCA. The teaching was hands-on, and the instructors provided excellent support. They really prepared me well for real-world plumbing/ gas situations. I would highly recommend this college to anyone looking to start a career in plumbing!

All the teachers and tutors here are very helpful a lot more so then other colleges I’ve attended. They actually help and want their students to do well unlike some other colleges . Also my tutors, John and Andy were very helpful with getting my portfolio and jobs complete , without the help from them I doubt I would have been able to do so well.

I am currently on the level 2 diploma course in plumbing. The Academy works well for me having a family and a full time job collage was not an option. The staff are friendly and know their stuff. Practical sessions are great and the theory revision sessions are very informative they don’t just teach you to pass exams they explain in detail and give past knowledge and experience that will help you on the job in the future.
