Plumbing & Gas Tutor
Are you passionate about plumbing and gas? Ready to shape the future of skilled apprentices? We have an excellent opportunity for you to join the SWCA Apprenticeships team as a Plumbing & Gas Tutor!
Why This Role is Perfect for You:
Competitive Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 according to experience, plus a £2,000 market supplement annual bonus.
Work-Life Balance: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM – 4:00 PM. 4 days teaching, 1 day prep.
Benefits: 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, salary sacrifice Bike to Work scheme, and enhanced Nest pension upon request. On-site parking.
Small Classes: Our classes are 14 students or less so that we retain quality of teaching, all at Level 3 on apprenticeships
Key Responsibilities:
Provide training and assessment to apprentices.
Deliver End Point Assessment (EPA) training when required.
Engage fully with the Centre’s Mission and Values.
Act as a role model, embodying the positive behaviours essential to our mission.
Monitor student progress, updating central tracking and conducting reviews every 10 to 12 weeks.
Oversee students’ Off the Job journals and set targets for their Personal Development courses on Moodles.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in Plumbing & Heating.
Experience in the trade of 2 years or more (CV required)
Flexibility and responsiveness to working arrangements.
Willingness to participate in mandatory training (safeguarding, etc.)
Desirable:
PTLLS.
Assessor award qualification.
Current ACS in CCN1, CENWAT, MET1 & CONGLP1PD.
Unvented Hot Water Systems and Water Regulations certifications
Experience in training apprentices
